Business Analyst

Job Description:

Consult with business stakeholders and leadership to understand strategic goals, business processes and systems.
Identify business needs, problems and opportunities for improvement, and document requirements.
Conduct SWOT analysis, risk analysis and data modelling.
Liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams to develop effective solutions.
Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and requirements documentation.
Prepare test cases and test data, and conduct acceptance testing.
Monitor the implementation of solutions to ensure business requirements are met.
Evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements.
Adapt solutions to changing business needs and objectives.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and relevant methodologies.

Qualifications:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, IT or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
1–3 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL.
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or other business modelling tools.
Experience with data analysis and database management.
Strong analytical, conceptual, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior management.
Technical aptitude and the ability to liaise effectively between business and IT teams.
Experience managing multiple projects and working independently under pressure.
High attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to different client environments.
