Job Description:

  • Provides day to day guidance to line management (i.e. Training and Development, Salaries, Organisation culture, Effective communication, recruitment, etc.)
  • Advising line managers on IR according to the LRA and internal related policies, issue hearing documentation, observe in disciplinary hearings, manage CCMA cases, etc.
  • Provides day –to-day guidance to employees (i.e. rules & regulations, employment contracts, hours worked, payroll, leave & sick leave enquiries, etc.)
  • Ensuring that remuneration information including pro-rata payments and AOD’s are signed by employees and communicated accurately and timeously to Payroll.
  • Ensure terminations are processed timeously and submitted to Payroll within agreed timelines with supporting documents attached.
  • Distribute retiree’s, Fixed Term contracts and confirmation of successful completion of probation period confirmations and provide feedback timeously to Payroll,
  • Administration and coordination of IOD’s (Injury on duty)
  • Schedule training regarding Health and Safety, forklift, etc.
  • Evaluate and monitor training programmes with follow-ups to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Administrate the recruitment of new employees. (prepare internal notices and external advertisements, organise interviews, liaise with agencies, arrange polygraph testing, etc.
  • Responsible for all general HR administration.

Qualifications:

  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Phycology, and / or related qualification
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of solid, diverse work experience in the Human Resources Department
  • Knowledgeable of multiple Human Resources Disciplines (all relevant legislation) and Administration including compensation packages, compensation legislation.
  • Ability to display Emotional intelligence, People skills, Interpersonal intelligence
  • Flair for administration.
  • Ability to prioritise large workload.
  • Work accurately
  • Ability to act independently within policy guidelines.
  • Ability to accept and take charge of projects / ad-hoc task.
