Human Resource Officer

Job Description:

  • Support payroll administration, including processing, UIF submissions, and salary reconciliations
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job advertising, screening, interview coordination, and orientation
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives, maintain training records, and assist with WSP submission
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
  • Prepare monthly HR reports (headcount, turnover, leave, and training metrics) and submit annual Employment Equity reports
  • Assist with employee benefits administration, leave management, and HR-related queries
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including social events, internal communications, and wellness program

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
  • 4–6 years’ experience in a generalist HR or HR administration role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as SAGE 300 People
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
