Facilities, Maintenance & Gardens Manager

Job Description: 

  • Facilities and Garden Management
    • Develop and implement maintenance strategies.
    • Supervise facility and garden work.
    • Manage contractor relationships.
    • Assist with budget control.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Utilities Management
    • Manage utilities supply and infrastructure.
    • Communicate with municipal services.
    • Implement sustainability initiatives.
    • Track and report utility expenses.
  • Insurance Management
    • Understand and evaluate insurance cover.
    • Support claims processes.
    • Coordinate with relevant parties.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks.
    • Ensure compliance and maintenance checks.
    • Stay updated on industry risks.
  • Security Oversight and Liaison
    • Oversee the condition and integrity of boundary walls, access gates, and electric fences.
    • Ensure functionality of security infrastructure (e.g., alarms, lighting, CCTV where applicable).
    • Supervise on-site security personnel and coordinate with armed response service providers.
    • Serve as primary liaison with external security firms and emergency services.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and incident follow-ups.
    • Assist in the implementation of farm-level crime prevention strategies.

Qualifications: 

  • Qualification in Facilities Management, Horticulture, or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of systems, utilities, and insurance.
  • Compliance and safety understanding.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
