Logistics & Compliance Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Coordinate international and local freight movements, including sea, air, and road freight
  • Manage import and export processes across multiple countries and jurisdictions
  • Arrange collections and monitor proof of deliveries (PODs) to ensure successful order fulfilment
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, transport providers, customs agents, and logistics partners
  • Ensure all import/export documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required deadlines
  • Manage documentation related to Incoterms, including EXW, DAP, FCA, and other applicable trade terms
  • Track and monitor open orders, readiness dates, and shipment progress
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and import/export requirements
  • Maintain accurate logistics records, customs entries, and freight documentation
  • Monitor shipment statuses and proactively communicate updates, delays, and issues to stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics-related queries and escalations
  • Collaborate with internal sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment
  • Identify and implement improvements to logistics processes and procedures
  • Monitor compliance risks and resolve documentation or regulatory issues promptly
  • Prepare logistics and compliance reports as required

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or import/export administration
  • Hands-on experience with sea freight, air freight, and road freight operations
  • Proven experience managing customs clearance and import/export documentation
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High level of attention to detail and administrative accuracy
