Financial Controller

Job Description:

• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and statutory requirements
• Experience in operations and/or manufacturing environments advantageous
• Strong financial reporting, analysis and budgeting experience
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (e.g. Sage)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a team and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• High attention to detail with a logical and proactive approach

Qualifications:

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, reports and financial packs
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances and provide actionable insights
• Manage and maintain general ledger, cashbook, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
• Oversee financial processes ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS and internal policies
• Handle statutory reporting including VAT, tax returns and regulatory submissions
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors
• Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts and working capital
• Implement cost control measures and identify efficiency improvements
• Support business decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
• Manage intercompany transactions, foreign currency revaluations and transfer pricing
• Ensure smooth financial operations and resolve day-to-day finance queries
• Lead and manage finance team, including performance reviews and development
