Hotel General Manager

Job Description:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Manage all hotel departments, including reservations, front office, housekeeping, sales and marketing, leisure services, human resources, and finance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise revenue, occupancy, and overall hotel performance.
• Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Maintain high standards of service, hygiene, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through training and performance management.
• Manage guest feedback, resolve complaints effectively, and ensure outstanding customer satisfaction.
• Oversee hotel projects and drive continuous operational improvements.

Qualifications:

• Recognised qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong background in hotel operations, particularly rooms division management.
• Proven experience in revenue management and occupancy optimisation.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and guest service focus.
