Brand Portfolio Manager

Job Description:

  • Develop and manage growth strategies for a portfolio of local and international brands.
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue, market share, distribution and brand awareness.
  • Take ownership of brand performance, including revenue, margins, budgets and P&L.
  • Develop and manage annual and quarterly marketing plans, budgets and campaigns.
  • Coordinate brand content, product launches and marketing activities with internal teams and external brand partners.
  • Develop sales and stock forecasts, monitor inventory levels and support purchasing requirements.
  • Coordinate new product, packaging and production projects from concept through to final production.
  • Manage relationships with international brand partners, manufacturers, packaging suppliers and other service providers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and product opportunities to support commercial growth.
  • Present brand plans, performance insights and commercial recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure projects, campaigns and production activities are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related field.
  • Previous experience in brand management, portfolio management, product management, commercial marketing or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of revenue, gross margins, budgets and basic P&L management.
  • Experience developing and executing brand or commercial growth strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with sales and financial data.
  • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills, particularly for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Excellent project management, organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to make clear commercial recommendations.
  • Experience in skincare, beauty, healthcare, FMCG, consumer goods, e-commerce or importing/distribution will be advantageous.
  • Experience with contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, printers or physical product production will be advantageous.
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence required.
  • Commercially minded, proactive, highly organised and detail-oriented.
